Born in Aizu, the land of ramen, in 1959. In 1995, while working at an advertising agency, he opened the ramen information site “Ramen Shops in Tokyo”. At its peak, it was unusually popular for a ramen site, with 170,000 page views per day, and he appeared in ramen magazines and on TV. He founded Ramen Data Bank, Inc. in 2005.
