01 “Shichisai Hanten(七彩飯店)” (Kyobashi Sta.)

“Chilled Corn Noodles with Amazake(とうきびの冷やし麺〜甘酒添え〜)” (1,600 yen), available from July 16th. It’s so beautiful! Made with plenty of premium Mirai corn. The coarsely strained soup is thick enough to hold with chopsticks. It’s truly a “soup to eat.” The chicken, purple onion, and black pepper all add their own unique flavor. Of course, I ate and drank it all. Available until mid-August. The container in the upper right corner contains amazake paste for adding a flavor change.
02″Rokutsuki(ろく月)” (Asakusabashi Sta.)

“Chilled Corn Ramen(とうもろこしの冷やしラーメン)” (1,500 yen), a summer-only dish from a shop serving pork broth without artificial flavorings. This type of menu is usually limited in quantity, but this one is “as close to being sold out as possible.” I love corn, so I’ve tried a variety of these chilled ramen dishes, but this was the first time I’d ever had one that felt like an edible soup. I tried picking it up with chopsticks and was able to hold it, even if it was just a little! “Soup that you can hold with chopsticks” is amazing! I added curry powder to change up the flavor, and the topping was corn tempura.
After finishing the noodles and toppings, I had some soup left. Normally, I’d drink a little and finish, but this time I went for a second round. I started drinking (and eating) the corn potage. Of course, I ate it all. Recommended for chilled corn lovers!
03 “Ramen Hisui(Ramen翡翠)” (Akasaka/Akasaka-Mitsuke Sta.)

The owner himself calls the “Chilled Peach and Finger Lime (Soy Sauce) Ramen(桃とフィンガーライム醤油の冷やしらーめん)” (2,500 yen) his masterpiece! The order was limited to about 20 bowls, so I rushed in, but by 11:53 there were only about 10 people waiting outside. The peaches used were Yume Mizuki from Yamanashi HOPE Garden. The salt flavor was finger lime, replaced with dried mullet roe. Looking around, most people were in their 30s. Everyone was ordering the chilled ramen (2,500 yen) or the special (1,900 yen). Is Akasaka immune to the 1,000 yen barrier?
04″Hirugao(ひるがお)” (Komazawa-daigaku Sta.)

The second brand in the “Setagaya(せたが屋)” group, this ramen shop specializes in salt ramen.
This summer’s special is the “Chilled Sudachi Noodle(冷たい酢橘そば)” (limited to 20 bowls per day).
A Japanese-style broth extracted with cold water, topped with sudachi citrus and various condiments.
A refreshingly cold summer dish!
